Spelling Bee

AJ made it into the spelling bee!  He was one of a few chosen from his class.  Here he is saying the spelling out the first word which he got correct.

Twinkies!!!!

Grandpa gave AJ a Twinkie Maker for Christmas.  We had to try it out right away.

Out of a very large batch, we got ONE perfect Twinkie.  A few others were either burnt or had the icing bag explode over them. :)

AJ Loved that one Twinkie!

We were able to accomplish everything on his To Do List today. :)

Little League!

AJ joined Little League and had his first real game.  Grandma Vi, Granny, Meg, and Alli all made it out to watch his first game!

First Time Sparring

Today AJ sparred for the first time ever.  "Don't hit each other in the face.  Go!"

Playing Cards

AJ and I love to play cards together.  His favorite game is Go Fish.  It is too boring for me so I try to talk him into my games.  We play King's Corners, Rummy, and War. 

Here he is after having kicked my butt playing King's Corners.  And he's looking very happy about it.

Happy 9th Birthday!!!!

Today is AJ's 9th Birthday!  He had a party at Scooter's Jungle.

 

 

He had the party on the actual day of his birthday.  Many of his friends from school came plus his beloved Alli, Colin, and Mac. 

 

 

He also got a motorcycle from Grandpa and Mac!!!

Breaking His First Board!!

Today AJ made his first attempt to break a board in Tae Kwon Do.  He broke it on the first try!  1/2 inch pine.  He's 3rd from the left.
